Beeswax Candles

A candle consists of three components: beeswax, wick, and flame. The beeswax serves as a symbol of Christ's pure humanity, while the wick represents Christ's soul, and the flame embodies His divinity. Just as the Incarnation marked the union of Christ's body, soul, and divinity, the lighting of a candle mirrors this union, with the melting of beeswax creating a oneness between the flame, wick, and beeswax.

We use 100% local New York beeswax and a 100% cotton wick in our beeswax candles.

To avoid dripping, ensure the candle is not near open windows, fans, or excessive airflow.
An additional tip to prevent dripping is to refrain from trimming the burnt wick before relighting. Simply light the long curled wick as it is. It's important to note that this approach differs from other candle styles that benefit from regular wick trimming.
For minimal smoking, use a snuffer to extinguish the flame.

Fleur de lis Beeswax $40

Trim wick to 1/4" before each lighting.
To prevent tunneling, ensure a minimum 3-hour burn each time the candle is lit and shape the warm sides inward towards the flame. This process will melt the walls, maximizing fuel use, extending overall burn time, and reducing oversized flames.
To avoid uneven burning and potential dripping, use a metal tool to redirect a curled or angled wick in the opposite direction. To prevent wick breakage, gently position the wick below the molten pool level where it's stronger.

Burn votives in a heat-resistant container that is just wide enough to fit it. Votives are intended to create a molten pool that fills the container. Using a container that is too wide will cause the wax to spread out and remain unburned, significantly reducing the overall burn time.

Our beeswax candles are crafted in small batches, and due to the natural shrinkage of beeswax, there might be a slight variation in height and weight from one batch to another.
